What exactly is a NextGen Virtual Tour?
These 360° virtual tours are aimed at businesses and organizations that are looking for modern ways to attract new customers or to simply show off their space to the world, in virtual reality (VR). Whether you're hosting a virtual open house or just wanting to enhance your presence on Google, a virtual tour is a fantastic tool to achieve your goals.
The NextGen Virtual Tour is similar to a Google Maps Street View virtual tour, but with additional interactive elements that engage the viewer and peak their natural curiosity.
These elements appear in the form of clickable hotspots that reveal custom content that the business owner chooses. This content can take the form of dropdown menus, photographs, embedded videos, text boxes or links to other web sites and resources. The possibilities are really endless in terms of how this content is designed and used.
Additionally, the tour interface and all the custom features can be branded with your business's logo, colors and fonts to further support your business identity. Background audio can even be added to the tour to provide the extra ambiance.
For those owners who love statistics, detailed analytics for tour usage (powered by Google Analytics) is also available as an option.
What's The Process?
The creative process begins with a complimentary site visit and consultation with the business representative to review the space and discuss their vision for the tour. The areas of the business to be photographed for the tour will be identified as this will partially determine the final cost of the project. The various packages and available add-ons will be presented at that time.
Once the decision is made to proceed, a photo-shoot is scheduled, ideally outside of normally business hours, or at a time when customer foot traffic is typically slow.
The photographer will arrive his high resolution panorama photography rig at the scheduled time and begin taking 360° photographs at the agreed upon spots. The time required for the shoot will depend on the amount of space to covered, the number of panos to be photographed, and any delays caused by waiting for customers to complete their business.
Following the shoot, the images are post-processed and the tour is built. Tour customizations are reviewed by the business owner before publishing.
What Does This Cost?
The NextGen Virtual Tour service fee structure is built in tiers (from Basic to Premium) where the price is determined by the features in the given tier and the number of panos photographed to make up the tour. In all cases, a basic Street View virtual tour will be uploaded to the business's Google My Business listing which will be visible across Google and Google Maps searches.
Additionally, annual maintenance plans are available to help the business keep the tour content fresh and engaging.
And finally, a set of optional add-ons are available to complement the tour and address the business's other photography needs.
